An exciting and inspiring 4 week 'Sunday' course with Jo Irving, perfect for anyone looking for serious head start in the bridal hair industry
Who's it for: Anyone wanting to learn the basic skills of bridal hair and who may be looking to develop a career in this industry. No experience necessary although working hair stylists would also benefit.

Duration: 20 hours spread over 4 weeks
Price: £800 per person

We stick to small groups of 4 to 6 to ensure that you all get the help and guidance you need every step of the way.
Minimum of 4. Please note that if we are not able to fill a course for any reason we will move you to the next available date.
What The Course Includes...
Over the duration of this hands on and creative course you will learn from scratch the basics of prepping the hair, hair up, moving onto red carpet, vintage and bridal styles. We will be working on blocks and models. Be prepared to get creative and be inspired!
Attending the course one day a week allows you time to practice the looks between sessions, Which means we can help you with any techniques you didn't master the first time. We ascertain each students individual requirements before enrollment to ensure every student benefits from the course. This is all about getting you the skills you need to get confident in the art of hair up.
There will be some minimal research and practical home work between sessions.
A hair kit and everything you need to complete the course is included.

- Plaiting and knotting techniques including Round the head plaits, fishtail plaits
- Incorporating plaits into your up styles
- Creating the perfect curl
- Vintage styles
- Using extensions
- Working with padding
- How to get the best from your trial
- Wedding day schedules
- Working with and creating moodboards
- Bridal hair
- Red carpet looks
- Trend forecasting
- Working with hair accessories and veils
- Problem solving and breaking down styles from pictures

What you need to bring
We've pretty much got it covered but you could bring paper and pens for note taking and a camera to take photos of your work. Be ready and open to learn as this is an intensive course.
By the end of the course you will be confident and able to build up your portfolio and start your career as a bridal or session stylist.
